Usually about 10 minutes later, they’re laughing, loosening up, and realizing this really doesn’t have to feel uncomfortable.
A big part of my approach is creating energy that helps people relax instead of overthinking every photo. I’ll guide when needed, step back when the moment is naturally unfolding, and probably get just as excited as you are when everything starts coming together.

Hey, I’m D’mitri.
I’ve been photographing weddings since 2017, and what I love most about them has never really changed — real connection.
The moments couples end up loving most usually aren’t the perfectly posed ones. They’re the in-between moments. The deep breath before the ceremony. The way your partner looks at you when nobody else notices. Your family losing it during speeches. The quiet moments you didn’t even realize were happening.
That’s the stuff I pay attention to.
My approach is laid back and guided when needed, but I’m also probably your biggest hype man throughout the day. If the photos are looking incredible during portraits, trust me — you’re going to hear about it. I get genuinely excited when moments are unfolding naturally and the energy is right, and couples tend to feed off that energy instead of feeling awkward or overly posed.
The goal is never to make your wedding feel like a production.
